Turtle

Here is another idea for everybody, I ordered this decal because I have a booklet type thing I have for all of my ear medications. My problem: Everything I own is black and I can't see anything in my purse/backpack because everything is so dark so I ordered this sticker and I love it because it's a turtle and I have many reasons for loving them. So I got bored and decided this would be one of my pillowcase creations. I don't take credit for it, I just thought it was pretty so my Mama2 picked a few of the colors and viola this is what happened. I made a set of these because I thought they were simple and beautiful. My Mama2 wants a little more on the pillowcase, but we will see sometimes less is more. Hope you like it.

Frankie Puddles

As many of you know I make these pillowcases for my mom and I love doing them a lot and I have done a post on my dog pillows before but this is another one that I found in my stack to do. What I thought was a pristine white pillowcase was a dirty old one for the dogs.  So if you are every in need of a dog pillow case grab a ratty one and embroider it so you can see that it belongs with a dog and you don't accidently lay your head to rest on a pile o' dog germs. For this pillowcase all I did was take a paw print like:

This one and arrange it on the pillowcase so that I can trace it and sew away. The bone I drew and the block lettering I did also without use of the internet which is a first for me.  So wohoo

Faith, Hope, Love

So here is a new pillowcase that I made for my growing collection which  I was pleasantly surprised by. When I started this project I didn't think that I would like it this much. My mom picked this pattern because she liked it and I agreed hesitantly to do it. Some people don't know but I have been embroidery on my moms vast collection of pillowcases and most are hers that I sew on. But I thought for this post I would put a little more information about what I do exactly. The pattern that I used or for better phrase I only use one brand right now because I haven't found any that are better. The iron on pattern brand that I use is called Aunt Martha's Hot Iron Transfer Bless our Home 4010

All of the threat I used on this project is DMC and some I have put away so for 75% of them I will tell you what the colors were.(ok one color is J &P)

Cats

This set was made by my grandma when I was younger and let me just say I think its ironic now because I am highly allergic to cats but I loved cats then and I wish  could make my pillowcases as pretty as she has in the past.
